The 3-Button Philosophy

CORELY TeamFebruary 8, 20262 min read

Less is More (Revenue)

Here's a counterintuitive truth about software for trade businesses: the more features you add, the less money your users collect.

Why? Because every extra button, field, or screen is another reason to skip "doing the admin stuff" and go straight home. And every skipped invoice is lost revenue.

The Rule

Every core action in CORELY follows a simple rule:

If it takes more than 3 taps, we redesign it.

This isn't arbitrary. It comes from watching real tradespeople use their phones:

  • Tap 1 — Start the action (e.g., "New Job")
  • Tap 2 — Confirm the details (auto-filled from voice or photo)
  • Tap 3 — Send it (invoice goes to the customer)

Three taps. Job logged, invoice sent, payment link delivered. Total time: about 30 seconds.

How We Get There

Voice-First Input

Instead of typing customer details into tiny form fields, just talk:

"Hey, I just finished a water heater install for Sarah at 123 Main, total was four seventy-five."

CORELY extracts the customer name, address, service description, and amount. You review and send.

Smart Defaults

Why ask "What's your payment method?" every time when 90% of jobs use Stripe? CORELY remembers your preferences and applies them automatically. Override when needed, but the default path is the fast path.

Progressive Disclosure

The main screen shows 3 big buttons. That's it. Advanced features exist — but they're tucked away for the 10% of times you need them. The 90% path is always front and center.

The Result

Early testing shows:

  • 30 seconds average time to log a job and send an invoice
  • 85% faster than traditional invoicing apps
  • Zero training required — if you can use a phone, you can use CORELY

The best feature is the one you never have to think about.
